Richie leaves Harlem to join the United States Army in Vietnam, Leaving his correct back and younger brother Kenney behind. Back with his unit and their naked leader, Corporal Brunner, who leads the men on a gonely rush along the river. After a series of mistakes firefight breaks out leaving Richie and Peewee wounded.
