I Work As Research Assistant Getting Two Papers For My Masters
I Work As Research Assistant Getting Two Papers For My MastersWhen I work as a research assistant, getting two papers for my Masters was more than I could have ever imagined. I was so lucky to be chosen to assist a senior professor in his quest to publish his latest paper in an esteemed journal. Since the field of teaching is very challenging at times, most students and professors would want to have access to such a privilege. As a research assistant in college, I have been assigned to serve under junior professors and tenured professors. Since I know how it feels to work hard, I tried to meet their demands and understand their instructions. If you want to be successful in your research, it is important that you learn from their experiences as well. You should be self-motivated to be able to be on time and finish all your assigned papers in time.In college, I used to get two papers completed per semester. I did not expect to get more than three or four, but luck was on my side. I was also assigned by my supervisor, Dr. Ellis, to finish up another assignment.Dr. Ellis gave me the idea about two papers, which I did not even know existed. In our last meeting before the semester ended, he asked me if I wanted to know what the papers were.He told me they were a part of the package in exchange for two papers. I was really curious about this offer, so I asked him if he was kidding. His answer was no.So, I just kept asking him if I could have the paper, but he always gave me this non-committal answer. But when I finished the assignment and handed it in, Dr. Ellis called me into his office. He told me that although I really wanted to get two papers done in one semester, there were only two papers that were scheduled for the next semester. Although it was not my job to accept the job, he asked me if I wanted to just get the other assignment done and give him the two papers for the semester. My Boss came to my rescue in that situation, as he knew that I would be glad to get the bonus. As Dr. Ellis had said, one assignment had already been done, and I did not have another choice. So, I waited for the next semester, and as expected, I got the bonus. I was finally able to finish two papers and I am very grateful to my boss and my supervisor for letting me get my bonus!
